Introductory shiatsu for horses weekend courses

1) Courses will teach horse owners and carers to give a basic Shiatsu to their horses, which will encourage whole horse relaxing and healing. It focuses on simple, practical techniques rather than addressing the theoretical aspects of Shiatsu. (see Shiatsu for Relaxation).

2) Continuing study over 2 years, consisting of weekends, day tutorial and human modules to give greater understanding of theoretical and practical Shiatsu.

• 1st Year
  • Intro weekend, 6 days tutorials
  • 2 weekends with Elaine Liechti - Assessment of work at end of year

  • 3 Horse weekends
  • 2 Human weekends
  • 4 days tutorials
  • Practical exam with external examiner
  • 5 Case histories

3) A further Year of more detailed study to gain practitioner status. 3 Horse weekends

• 2 Human weekends (E.L.)
• 4 days Tutorials - Written practical exams
• 5 case histories.

Tutorial days will be as flexible as possible to enable students to give full attendance. Private tutorials can be arranged to ensure that 90% attendance rate is achieved.
